Agreement Signing Ceremony
between
Ngee Ann Polytechnic
and
Ngee Ann Polytechnic Academic Staff Union
on 27 May 2004
The Academic Staff Union (ASU),
which is
one of the few house unions in Singapore,
has contributed significantly to the
progress and development of good labour
management relations in Ngee Ann Polytechnic
through an on-going consultative process.
The signing of the Collective Agreement (CA)
is a significant and historical event
as it is the first CA to be sealed
between the ASU and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
The negotiation process leading
to the signing of the CA has provided
the Union and the management the opportunity
to comprehensively review the terms and conditions
of service in the Polytechnic.
The process has brought about
a better working environment for the employees
and helped to further strengthen the already
cordial relations between the Union and the Polytechnic.
